JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The University of North Florida men's soccer team suffered a 1-0 loss to Jacksonville University on Saturday afternoon in the SunTrust River City Rumble.
JU dominated the majority of the first period, out-shooting the Ospreys 4-1.
The Dolphins scored the only goal of the match during the half at the 13:20 mark. Stefan Runeman netted the goal off a free kick by Bojan Milicevic.
UNF tried to rally in the second period by out- shooting the Dolphins 5-4, but the half was ruled mostly by emotions. During the final 25 minutes of play, the official handled out four yellow cards and five red cards.
Freddy Neely made two saves for the Ospreys, while Taylor Unsinger had one save for UNF in the final minute of play. Chad Comroe had one save for JU.
The Ospreys hit the road for more conference action at Gardner-Webb on Thursday at 7 p.m. UNF's next home match against Lipscomb has been moved to 5 p.m. Their home match versus Georgia Southern on Oct. 17 has also been moved to 5 p.m.
