
UNF falls at Gardner-Webb

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.- The University of North Florida men's soccer team was defeated by Gardner-Webb 3-2 on Thursday night. Richard Godfrey had a hat trick for the Bulldogs to help put the Ospreys away.
Godfrey netted his first goal at the 26:09 mark off a pass from Boris Gatzky. The pair combined again for the Bulldogs' second goal in the 42nd minute.
Mark Sergio scored UNF's first goal only four minutes into the second half of play. He was assisted by Connor Sheehan on the goal.
A final goal from Godfrey in the 82nd minute gave GWU a 3-1 lead.
David Pollard netted an unassisted goal a minute later to bring the Ospreys within a goal, but the Bulldogs would walk off the field with the victory.
Taylor Unsinger collected three saves for UNF, while Tyler Kettering made three for GWU.
The Ospreys return to action at Campbell on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
