After a shaky first inning, Johnson (8-1) settled down to allow just five hits and one run in 8.1 innings of work. The left-hander from Tampa, Fla. struck out three batters and walked just one to improve to a perfect 7-0 in Atlantic Sun games. The Ospreys roughed up game-two starter Kyle Kamppi (4-3) for 13 hits and six runs over eight innings to hand him the loss.
Chad Knight and Jimmy Glanville each had three hits and two RBIs to lead the Ospreys' offense in game two. Oxendine, Grogan and Diaz each added two hits in the game.
Bulldogs' left fielder Daniel Cook started the second game with a solo home run to left center, but Jonathan Hodach answered in the top of the second with a solo shot of his own to tie the score.
