UNF jumped on Lipscomb with three runs in the first inning. Travis Martin plated Glanville with a double off of the left field wall, and Jonthan Hodach added an RBI on a fielder's choice. James Belyea followed with a run-scoring single through the left side that allowed Martin to score.

Zac Miller put the Bisons on the board with a solo shot to left field, but Martin answered in the bottom of the second with a sacrifice fly to left field.

Diaz continued the offensive explosion with a run-scoring single up the middle, and Rogers followed with a three-run home run to left field to complete the eight-run inning.
