NASHVILLE, Tenn. - After a one-hour and 55-minute rain delay to the start of Sunday's doubleheader against Belmont, North Florida was able to capture an 8-4 victory in game one, but dropped the nightcap 10-8 to snap their eight-game wining streak.

Grant Rogers went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored and James Belyea was also 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the Ospreys to a victory in game one of the twin-bill.

Brad Johnson (7-1) worked seven innings and struck out six batters to earn his second straight win. The southpaw allowed just four hits and two runs before giving way to John Frawley in the eighth and Josh Papelbon in the ninth.

Josh Moffitt (4-4) took the loss for Belmont after working eight innings, allowing 13 hits and eight runs - six earned.

The Ospreys took advantage of a throwing error by Moffitt in the first inning that allowed Matt Oxendine to move up to third base and later score on a double- play groundout by Jimmy Glanville. UNF added another run in the third as Rogers scored from second base on a wild pitch that got away from the Bruins catcher.

Wilson Tucker got the Bruins on the board in the bottom of the fourth with a sacrifice fly to right field to score Matt Reynolds.

Rogers gave the Ospreys a 3-1 edge in the fifth inning when he belted his fifth home run of the season that stayed just inside of the left field foul pole. The Bruins got within one run in the sixth as Ben Petsch slapped an RBI single down the right field line to score Jon Camp.

UNF (28-20, 15-9 A-Sun) scored two runs in the seventh on infield singles by Damon Olinto and Brennan Grogan. Glanville followed with a two- out two-run double down the left field line. Rogers added an insurance run in the eighth inning with an RBI double to right center to plate Belyea.

Tucker hit two home runs and went 2-for-5 with three RBIs and two runs scored to lead the Bruins to a 10-6 win in game two of the doubleheader.

Ryan Amason earned a no decision in game two after working 4.2 innings and allowing six runs, four of which were earned on 11 hits. Travis Martin (1-2) took the loss after tossing 1.1 innings and allowing three runs. Ryan Ashner (2-2) earned the win after pitching three innings of scoreless relief.

Oxendine started game two by hitting his second home run of the series and fifth of the year. Belyea gave the Ospreys an early 2-0 lead with a sacrifice fly to left field that allowed Grogan to score, but the Bruins cut the lead in half in the bottom of the first on a RBI single by Kane Simmons.

The Ospreys led 3-1 going into the bottom of the fourth, but Belmont tied the game on a two-run throwing error by Oxendine. Tucker gave the Bruins a 5-3 advantage in the bottom of the fifth inning with a two-run home run over the wall in left field and Belmont plated an additional run on a wild pitch by Amason.

Andy Warren tied the game at six in the top of the sixth inning with his first career home run - a three- run shot that sailed over the left field fence.

Belmont plated four runs on four hits and three walks in the bottom of the seventh inning to take a 10-6 lead. The Ospreys tried to come back by scoring two runs in the top of the ninth but were unable to close the gap any further.

UNF will return to action on Saturday, May 6 in Boiling Springs, NC against Gardner-Webb. The Ospreys and Bulldogs will play a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. on Saturday and play a single game on Sunday at 1 p.m.
