
Lady Ospreys down Campbell

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The University of North Florida women's soccer team defeated Campbell 3-2 on Saturday afternoon. With the Lady Osprey win, UNF improves to 9-3 on the season with a 3-2 Atlantic Sun Conference record, and the Camels fall to 1-10, 1-5 in conference action.
UNF was the first to score during the 13th minute of the half. Lisa Taylor netted her second goal of the season, assisted by Elizabeth Gowan.
Amanda Murphy responded 46 seconds later for Campbell, netting an unassisted goal. The score would remain tied for the rest of the half.
Katelin Swift scored UNF's second goal of the game to push the Lady Ospreys ahead 2-1 at the 51:30 mark. She was assisted by Gowan on the goal. In the 57th minute, Caitlin Kovacs netted the Lady Ospreys' third goal of the game, also assisted by Gowan.
With 4:10 remaining in regulation, Kaili Terry tallied the Camels second goal to bring the score to 3-2. The Lady Ospreys held their lead for the duration to secure their third conference win of the season.
Rachael Howard collected two saves for UNF, while Samar Azem had eight saves for Campbell.
The Lady Ospreys travel to Nashville next weekend to match up with A-Sun foes Lipscomb on Thursday at 7 p.m. and Belmont on Saturday at 1 p.m.
