
UNF shuts down Lipscomb

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The University of North Florida women's soccer team notched another conference win, defeating Lipscomb on Thursday night 1-0. With the win, the Lady Ospreys improve to 10-3 with a 4-2 record in Atlantic Sun Conference action.
UNF recorded the only goal of the game in the 13th minute. Lena Mullaney tapped in the Lady Ospreys' goal off a corner kick.
The Lady Ospreys dominated the match, recording 31 shots including 25 shots on goal. Courtney Forson led UNF's attack with five shots on goal, while Caitlin Kovacs recorded four shots on goal. Mullaney and Christine Brewer each had three shots on goal.
Heather Gosselin recorded her second shutout of the season in as many starts. The goalie tallied three saves for UNF, while Katie Shelton had 24 saves for Lipscomb.
The Lady Ospreys continue their Nashville road trip when they face Belmont on Sunday at 1 p.m. Central.
