
Lady Ospreys drop A-Sun match

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - The University of North Florida volleyball team dropped its first Atlantic Sun Conference match of the year - losing 3-1 to East Tennessee State on Saturday afternoon.
UNF's Allison O'Neill tallied 15 kills and had four blocks to lead the way for the Lady Ospreys (10- 12, 1-1 A-Sun), who dropped the match less than 24 hours after playing Kennesaw State in Atlanta.
Neither team hit the ball well, with UNF tallying a .167 attack percentage with 29 errors and ETSU (16-4, 4-0 A-Sun) a .172 percentage with 32 errors.
The Bucs made the plays when they mattered most, however, in posting 30-28 and 30-27 wins in the first two games to take a commanding lead. UNF answered with a 30-27 win in game three, but ETSU won game four 30-27 to cap the match victory.
ETSU's Callie Kiselich had 17 kills to leads the Bucs, while Sarah Buhr added 15 kills and 10 digs.
Amy Stroder added 12 kills and 15 digs for UNF, while Emily Kohler had 11 kills. Jenna Thomas paced the UNF attack with 52 assists. She also recorded 16 digs.
UNF returns to action this week with a match against South Florida on Wednesday at 7 p.m. The Lady Ospreys then face Jacksonville in the SunTrust River City Rumble series on Saturday at UNF Arena. Match time for JU is 3 p.m.
