
FAMU downs Lady Ospreys

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -The University of North Florida volleyball team had its three-match winning streak snapped on Wednesday afternoon when the Lady Ospreys fell 3-0 to Florida A&M at Gaither Gymnasium (30-21, 30-24, 30-24).
FAMU (15-6) swept a pair of matches from UNF (13-14) this season - getting solid performances from Maria Andonova both times. The senior tallied 15 kills and hit .400 on Wednesday after tallying 38 kills in the first meeting between the squads on Sept. 27. Maritta Crockett led the Rattlers on Wednesday with 19 kills and 10 digs.
UNF got 11 kills from Amy Stroder and 10 kills and five blocks from Allison O'Neill. The Lady Ospreys hit .255 for the match with 14 errors.
UNF returns to action this weekend with a pair of conference matches at home - the squad's final home matches of the season. The Lady Ospreys face Gardner-Webb at 7 p.m. on Friday and Campbell at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
