Malkin's unassisted goal with 28 seconds remaining in the match gave the Lady Ospreys back-to-back losses for the first time this season.
Malkin's game-winning goal was set up when senior Katie Reed was taken down just outside the penalty box to set up Malkin's shot. The senior defender managed to shoot the ball over the three-person wall UNF had set up and just past the outstretched hand of UNF freshman goalkeeper Rachael Howard to earn the win.
Despite the loss, UNF head coach Mike Munch was pleased with the effort his team put out.
"We played much better today," Munch said. "We didn't play well at all Friday (against FAU), so I was glad to see us come out and compete. USF made a great kick on the free kick at the end of the match and that was the difference. We need to continue to play at this level."

The Lady Ospreys' offensive charge was led by junior Courtney Forson, sophomore Lisa Weber and freshman Ali Caton. All three Lady Ospreys tallied one shot.
Howard dropped to
UNF junior goalkeeper Casey Garrett earned the win for the Bulls, while tallying her fourth shutout of the season.
