North Florida holds on for 5-4 victory

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (March 2, 2005)- The University of North Florida men's tennis team held on to defeat Northwood (Mich.) 5-4 on Wednesday, improving their overall record to 6-2.
After taking a 2-1 lead in doubles matches, UNF was able to manage a split in singles to capture the victory.
North Florida received singles wins from sophomore No. 26 Leo Gomes, freshman Elad Gabay and sophomore Glen Marshall.
The freshmen team of Gabay and Eduardo Pereira improved their doubles record to 8-0 on the season. The other doubles victory came from the team of Jose Terrera and Damien DePolignac.
The Ospreys will resume conference play on Friday, March 4, when they travel to Columbus State. The match will begin at 2 p.m.
