
UNF holds on for 5-4 win

MILLEDEVILLE, Ga.-Friday's men's tennis match between the University of North Florida and Georgia College & State went down to the wire, with UNF pulling out the hard-fought 5-4 victory.
No. 17 GCSU jumped out to an early lead by taking two of three doubles matches, but No. 6 North Florida responded back, evening things up at 4-4 heading into the final match.
Everything rested on the shoulders of No. 23 Jose Maria Terrera of UNF, and No. 46 Erick Siqueira of GCSU. After three long sets, Terrera came out on top, giving the Ospreys the 5-4 win.
North Florida improves to 12-4 on the season overall, and 3-1 in Peach Belt Conference play.
UNF will play two on Saturday, facing off against conference foes No. 29 Augusta State and No. 35 USC Aiken. The match at Augusta State is scheduled for 9:30 a.m., as the match versus USC Aiken is set for 2:30 p.m.
