With the pair of wins, UNF extended its winning streak to 10 games.
"We were swinging the bats like nobody's business," UNF head coach Sonya Wilmoth said. "Top to bottom, we hit the ball hard and produced. We always teach our players to stay back and drive the ball, and that's what they did."
The Lady Ospreys finished Friday's games with 23 hits and four home runs. Ashley Parenteau collected two of those home runs, while Jessica Sexton and Caitlin Miller also went deep.
Parenteau drove home UNF's first run of the day, scoring Gwen Williams on a single to left in the top of the second of game one.
UNF added four runs to its total in the third when Kelli Rutenbar started the scoring with an RBI double that plated Miller. Alisha Phillips and Sexton also drove home runs, with Sexton bringing in two on an RBI double.
Miller scored on a wild pitch in the top of the sixth before Sexton completed the scoring with a two-run home run to center.
That homer helped Sexton (1-0) preserve the win after she came on in relief to pitch 4.2 shutout innings. She didn't allow a hit and struck out five after taking over for Phillips in the third.
UNF kept the offense going in the second game when Parenteau stroked a home run to center to lead off the bottom of the first. Miller followed three batters later with her second home run of the season, driving a ball to left that scored two.
Katie Field and Gwen Williams drove home runs in the bottom of the third to give UNF a 5-0 advantage, before Parenteau hit her second home run of the game to right center and giving the Lady Ospreys a 7-0 lead. UNF continued to keep the offensive pressure on, closing out the game with a 12-0 win.
Rutenbar and Parenteau both collected four hits for UNF in the doubleheader, while the bottom four in the game two lineup - Field, Williams, Sexton and Randalyn Rogers each had two hits.
Tori Ahern (9-2) earned the win in the second game, allowing only four hits and striking out nine.
