Webber International edges past UNF, 2-1

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The University of North Florida men's soccer team dropped to 1-3 at home Tuesday, losing 2-1 to Webber International University. WIU's Ivan Arias scored a goal in the 84th minute to lift the Warriors.
Webber (4-6-1) got on the board first when Patrick Slattery lifted a shot over UNF goalie Brad Jones, giving WIU an early 1-0 lead. The Ospreys tied the match when Facundo Videla found Martin Pettersson in front of the net, making it a 1-1 game. The goal was Pettersson's team-leading eighth of the season. Arias's late goal gave the Warriors the lead for good.
UNF's Jones, and WIU's Zach Bass each recorded four saves, as both teams got off 10 shots.
North Florida (3-4-1) will host Peach Belt rival USC Upstate Oct. 9 at UNF Soccer Field at 3:30 p.m.
