NASHVILLE, Tenn.  - The Belmont men's soccer team (6-8-1, 3-4-0 A-Sun) earned its third berth to the Atlantic Sun Tournament in as many years with Saturday afternoon's 2-1 win over conference newcomer University of North Florida (3-8-1, 3-3-0 A-Sun). 

The Bruins drew first blood early in the matchup, with the first goal being netted in the 41^st minute by junior Chris Anderson with assists going to junior Eric Susewind and senior Drew Ducker.  The goal was the first of Anderson's collegiate career.  Belmont continued to maintain the offensive heat, going on to out shoot the Ospreys, 8-5, in the first stanza. 

Lightning struck twice for the Bruins coming out of the break when junior J.P. Rodrigues recorded his second goal of the year, with help from Susewind and senior Channing Twyner in the fourth minute of the second half.   

The Ospreys caught a break at the 74:29 mark of the match when senior Terry Peak assisted sophomore Martin Pettersson on netting their lone goal of the contest.  Belmont then went on to eat up the clock and hold on for the 2-1 win.

Junior goalkeeper Kyle Roelke came away with four saves on the day while UNF netminder Kyle Callahan failed to tally a save in his second collegiate start. Callahan was pressed into action after sophomore goalkeeper Michael Frost's season came to an end Tuesday due to a torn ACL and MCL. 

North Florida outshot Belmont, 12-11, but the Bruins had the upper hand in corner kicks, 5-3.

UNF returns to action on Monday when they play host to Florida Atlantic in their final conference home match of the season. The match is set to begin at 1 p.m. ET at UNF Soccer Stadium.
