
UNF falls to Campbell in OT

BUIES CREEK, N.C. - A miscue in the 89th minute of the University of North Florida women's soccer team's match with Atlantic Sun Conference rival Campbell resulted in an own goal that tied the match at a goal apiece and eventually led to a 2-1 overtime loss for the Lady Ospreys as Danielle Mandella scored the game-winner just three minutes into the overtime period.
After a scoreless first half, the Lady Ospreys (7-6-2, 5-3-1 A-Sun) notched the match's first goal when junior midfielder Courtney Forson converted a pass from freshman midfielder Elizabeth Gowan into a 1-0 lead.
The goal was Forson's fourth of the season.
UNF's own goal tied the match at a goal apiece and sent the Lady Ospreys into overtime for the second match in a row. UNF battled Gardner-Webb to a 1-1 double-overtime tie on Thursday.
