
UNF, GWU play to 1-1 tie

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. - Ninety minutes and two overtime periods after the opening kick, the
UNF senior forward Ali Blochl tallied her third goal of the season Thursday night when the Melbourne Beach, Fla., native scored the Lady Ospreys' lone goal of the match on a penalty kick in the 90th minute of play to force the first overtime period. Neither team was able to tally the game-winning goal during the extra periods and the match ended in UNF's second tie of the season.
The tie kept the Lady Ospreys' A-Sun unbeaten streak alive, extending the streak to six matches. UNF (

The Lady Ospreys outshot the Lady Bulldogs 21-17, including an 11-10 advantage in shots on goal. UNF junior midfielder Courtney Forson led the charge for the Lady Ospreys' offense with nine shots, including three shots on goal. Three other Lady Ospreys tallied multiple shots on goal.
UNF freshman goalkeeper Rachael Howard tallied nine saves in 120 minutes in goal to help the Lady Ospreys earn the tie.
