"It has been amazing to watch as all our young men have continued to improve throughout this season," said head coach Matthew Driscoll. "Every game it seems that a different player is raising his game. Demarcus has committed himself to the two things you want in a recruit. First, he is committed to earning his degree with the best outcome possible so he can accomplish his dreams in the medical field. Secondly, he works tirelessly on his basketball game when no one is watching allowing him to be the perfect example of reaping what you sow. We are very proud of this recognition for him."

Daniels and the rest of his UNF teammates will close out the regular season Thursday night against crosstown rival Jacksonville in the River City Rumble rematch. The Ospreys have secured a share of the league's regular season crown and with a win would collect their second consecutive regular season title.
