Official CCSA ReleaseCHARLOTTE, N.C. – For the second time this season, senior swimmer Amy Taylor was named the Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association Swimmer of the Week. The distance freestyler added another time into the program's all-time top-10 list in a meet at Tulane on Saturday.In the first individual race of the meet, Taylor turned in the fourth fastest time in school history in the 1650 freestyle (17:14.87). The fourth-year swimmer now owns five of the 10 top times in the 1650 freestyle after Saturday's meet. Her swim was also the seventh fastest in the CCSA this season. In her only other individual race of the day she placed third in the 100 butterfly with a time of 57.88. The swim was also among one of the 24 best times in the league this year.
This season Taylor has entered 10 times into the school's all-time top-10 list including the school record in the 200 butterfly at the Florida Tech Invite in late November.
The Ospreys will have one final tune-up before CCSA Championships when they travel to Nashville, Tenn. for a tri-meet with Marshall and Vanderbilt on Saturday.
