JACKSONVILLE, Fla.. – A unanimous All-American in 2015, senior Corbin Olmstead has garnered Second Team Preseason All-America honors from both Collegiate Newspaper and Perfect Game.Â

Olmstead garnered All-America honors from six different publications after a breakout season in 2015. He also became the first player in Atlantic Sun Conference history to earn First Team All-Conference honors at two different positions (RP & DH).

On the mound he allowed only one earned run in 35.1 innings and didn't allow an earned run in his first 27.1 innings pitched. He led the Ospreys with 48 strikeouts and boasted a 0.25 earned run average, a North Florida single season record. Opponents batted just .171 against him and he was tied for the league lead with nine saves.

As the team's primary designated hitter, he was second in the A-Sun with 13 home runs and second on the team with 13 doubles. He batted .308 by collecting 66 hits in 214 at bats. He rode a 17-game hit streak which was the second longest on the team.

Through three seasons, Olmstead is fifth in program history with 15 saves and ranks in the top 20 all-time in career home runs (23), total bases (280), at bats (537) and hits (174).

The Ospreys open up the 2016 season on Feb. 19 with the opening game of a three-game series against George Washington University.
