JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- University of North Florida's track and field's Brianna Frazier and David Shepherd finished up competition for the Ospreys at the 2012 NCAA East Prelims on Saturday at Hodges Stadium.

Frazier missed out on qualifying for her second event for next month's NCAA Outdoor National Championships. Racing in the 200m quarterfinals on Saturday, Frazier clocked 23.84 and placed 19th.

Frazier had already qualified for the NCAA Outdoor National Championships in the 400m after taking eighth in the quarterfinals on Friday.

Shepherd, who was UNF's only male athlete to qualify for the meet, tied for 33rd with USF's Drew Volz in the pole vault. Shepherd cleared 16'5.5" (5.02m).

The 2012 NCAA Outdoor National Championships take place June 6-9 in Des Moines, Iowa, at Drake Stadium. Frazier is currently slated to compete on the June 6 with the 400m semifinals scheduled for an 8 p.m. EST start.
