Frazier Clocks Another Record at GT Invite

ATLANTA, Ga. -- Sophomore Brianna Frazier of the University of North Florida track and field team broke her own school record in the 200m to highlight a slew of solid performances at the Georgia Tech Inivtational this weekend.
Frazier clocked a 23.56 to finish fifth in the event, breaking the UNF record of 23.74 that she shared with Le'Titia Parsons.
Elsewhere for the women, freshman Elle Baker clocked an 11:14.23 in the 3000m steeplechase to earn runner-up honors. Senior Christina King also claimed a top-five finish in the pole vault with a mark of 3.93m (12-10 3/4).
Freshman Alyssa Brandt finished 13th in the 1500m with a 4:47.39, while senior Andrea Bridges clocked a 12.66 in her first career attempt at the 100m.
On the men's side, junior Cameron Dickerson clocked a 1:52.17 to take 16th in the 800m. Joining him in the event were freshman Taylor Sumagpang, with a time of 1:53.48, and junior James Post, at 1:57.85.
Dickerson also took seventh in the 1500m with a time of 3:51.69, while sophomore David Shepherd grabbed a mark of 5.05m (16-6 3/4) in the pole vault, also finishing seventh.

The GT Invitational was the track and field teams' last schedule event of 2012. A select number of athletes have qualified for the NCAA East Preliminary Round, held at Hodges Stadium on May 24-26. The official list of athletes will be available in the near future.
