
Pridgeon Named Preseason All-Conference

MACON, Ga. – University of North Florida sophomore outside hitter Paige Pridgeon has been named to the 2010 Atlantic Sun Conference Preseason All-Conference Volleyball team as voted on by the A-Sun head coaches.
“Paige has worked very hard over the last year to improve her strength, her game and to make the players around her better,” said head coach Kevin Campbell. “We are excited to see how the team performs this year with her contributions.”
Pridgeon topped the Ospreys in service aces in 2009, tallying 50 on the season and leading the A-Sun with 0.45 per set. She was second in kills with 350 and averaging 2.91 per set. She also finished the season second in digs, posting 295 (2.57 per set) last season. Pridgeon finished the season eighth in the A-Sun in kills and was the only freshman ranked in the top-10.
UNF will begin the 2010 season on Friday, Aug. 27 against Wright State at the Georgia State Invitational in Atlanta, Ga. Match time is set for 5 p.m.
