
UNF Stretches Lead To Seven After Two Rounds of Schenkel E-Z-Go Invite

Phelan leads tournament and Horne sits in second
Sunday's third and final round at the par 72, 6,962-yard course will begin with tee times between 8-11 a.m.
The Ospreys led Virginia by one stroke after shooting 3-under (285) on day one, but exploded for a second round 279 and now sits at 12-under, 564, seven strokes ahead of Auburn at 571 (-5).
At the head of the charge for UNF is freshman Kevin Phelan who scorched
Horne shot his second straight round of 69 and is at 6-under, 138, through two rounds.
Sophomore Joe Byun is tied for 17th with a two-round, even-par 144 (71-73), while junior Chris Kennedy jumped 22 spots to move into a tie for 30th after a second round 71. He is at 2-over 146 through two rounds. Sophomore Kevin Aylwin is tied for 76th at 155 (79-76).
“Kevin and J.C. played real good rounds today,” said UNF head coach Scott Schroeder. “Chris and Joe also played solid. It is always fun to compete to win so tomorrow should be a fun day.”
