
Volleyball Signs McGuire for 2010

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – University of North Florida head volleyball coach Kevin Campbell announced today the signing of 6-1 outside hitter Cameron McGuire for the 2010 season.
McGuire, a Vero Beach, Fla. native, set a Saint Edwards High School career kill record with 797 after notching 320 her senior season. On the defensive side, McGuire posted 397 digs during her four years.
During her senior year she tallied 24 kills against crosstown rival Vero Beach High School. She earned First Team All-Area honors her junior season and earned a spot on the All-Treasure Coast First Team following her senior season.
“Cameron is a very talented athlete whose speed and jump ability will help our program move to the next level,” said Campbell. “We are looking forward to having Cameron on our team as we continue to grow as a Division I program.”
McGuire joins setter Britt Claessens in the early signing period.
