MADISON, Miss. – The University of North Florida golf team closed out the Reunion Intercollegiate with a 302 on Tuesday to finish the event in fifth place.
The Ospreys shot a three-round total of 314 (+50) in gusty conditions to finish three strokes ahead of sixth place Auburn. LSU captured the team title with a score of 889, followed by Arkansas (892), Vanderbilt (914) and Ole Miss (902).
Jordan Gibb recorded his first top-10 finish of the year to lead the Ospreys, shooting a 74 on Tuesday to finish tied for eighth. Gibb posted three birdies on his card to go along with three bogeys and a double bogey. Gibb finished 10-over-par for the tournament, 11 strokes behind tournament winner Andrew Landry of Arkansas.
Freshman Kevin Aylwin shot a 78 to finish tie for 22nd, while Jeff Dennis (79), Chris Kennedy (77) and Joe Byun (74) finished behind him on the leaderboard.
The Reunion Intercollegiate ends regular season play for the Ospreys. UNF will head to Buies Creek, N.C., for the Atlantic Sun Championship April 20-22.
