
Swift Named Academic All-District First Team, Maze On Second Team

Swift, along with the first team members from the other eight districts (88 total players), now advance to the national ballot. The nominees will be voted on by sports information directors from around the country, on Tuesday, Nov. 3, with three Academic All-American teams being named.

After becoming just the second UNF soccer player to win two A-Sun Second Team All Conference honors, Swift has pioneered here way to become the first UNF player to be announced as an Academic All-District first team selection with the possibility of obtaining the status of an Academic All-American.
Coming off an impressive season and a more than special career, Swift has etched her own spot in Osprey history. Swift ended the season fifth in goals (8), seventh in points (19) and tied for seventh in points per game (1.00) in the A-Sun. She ended her career on the all-time Osprey list fourth in minutes played (5,096), fifth in goals (30) and sixth in points (68). This season marked the third time that the four-year starter has led her team in goals scored.
Redshirt junior Lauren Maze was also recognized for her academic accolades, earning second team All-District honors. Maze has demonstrated the epitome of what a student-athlete is.
While having the highest overall GPA of all the student-athletes at UNF (4.0), the international business and marketing major with a minor in French has been named to the President's and Dean's list every year during her time at UNF. Along with her many academic honors, Maze went abroad to
During Maze's career at UNF she played in 59 games and started in 51. Maze scored two goals, two assists and six points and has taken 52 shots as an Osprey. She was also awarded to the 2009 Jacksonville Invitational All-Tournament Team.
Swift was the only first team representative from the A-Sun conference.
