Rain Washes Out Final Round Of Brickyard, UNF Finishes 10th

With the cancellation of the third and final round, scores reverted back to each team's 36-hole total, meaning the 14th-ranked
"It is tough to not get a chance to play a good final round but that was out of our control," said UNF golf coach Scott Schroeder. "We just have to keep working on getting better and get ready to wrap up the fall season at LSU in two weeks."
UNF shot an 8-over 296 on Sunday and ended just one stroke out of seventh place and five out of fifth. The Ospreys finished +13 (589) through the first two rounds. Augusta State won the tournament at 13-under (563) and was the only team under par.
The tournament, hosted by Atlantic Sun foe Mercer, was played at the Brickyard at Riverside Golf Club. The Brickyard club played a traditional par-72 this year, a shift from last year's par-70 format, and was slated to feature 18 holes played each day. The course was also extended slightly to a distance of 7,175 yards.
UNF sophomore Sean Dale, the 15th-ranked golfer in the country, led the way for the Ospreys and tied for 21st at 1-over (145). Senior J.C. Horne and freshman Kevin Phelan tied for 35th at plus-3 (147). Junior Chris Kennedy was 7-over (tied for 52nd, 151), while senior Jordan Gibb tied for 64th at 9-over (153).
A total of 15 teams are participated in the 54-hole tournament, including 10 of Golfweek's top 54 tams in the nation. The field includes: North Florida, Mercer, No. 29 Augusta State, No. 24 Chattanooga,
