Floyd joins North Florida after most recently serving as an assistant coach at the University of Florida during a six-week transitional period in 2026.
While with the Gators, he assisted with on-court coaching, practice planning and individual training sessions.
Prior to Florida, Floyd spent the 2025 season as an assistant coach at Lindsey Wilson University, helping guide the program to a 29–11 overall record, a Mid-South Conference JV Tournament title and a berth in the NAIA National Tournament. He coordinated defensive strategy, developed scouting reports and managed team travel and logistics.
Before entering the coaching ranks, Floyd competed collegiately at Loras College, where he was a four-year letterman and team captain. He played a key role in leading the program to its first conference championship and a 2024 NCAA Division III Elite Eight appearance. A former setter, Floyd appeared in 71 matches over four seasons and ranked second on the team in assists as a senior. He earned the CCIW Respect Award, honoring his sportsmanship, integrity and leadership. During his career, he helped guide Loras to multiple top-25 national finishes, including a 25–2 record in 2024.
Floyd also gained valuable coaching experience during his playing career through summer camp stints at the University of Kentucky and the University of Wisconsin–Madison volleyball programs. In those roles, he provided individualized feedback, led drills and facilitated small-group sessions under the direction of staff. He also coached at the club level with Club Fusion Volleyball, working with teams in the 12s, 15s and 17s national age divisions.
Floyd earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from Loras College in 2025.
