Josie Foreman joined the Osprey staff as an assistant coach in the summer of 2026 after a standout five year career at the University of South Florida from 2021 to 2025 and serving as a graduate assistant for the Bulls during the 2026 season.
Foreman will be responsible for developing the catchers while assisting with pitch calling.
As a freshman, Foreman played in 39 games with 36 starts with three home runs, five doubles and 12 RBI including a walk-off home run against Tulsa and the game winning home run against South Alabama in the NCAA Tournament. Behind the plate, she boasted a .997 fielding percentage with 275 putouts, 14 assists, eight runners caught stealing and just one error. She called four no-hitters as a freshman. Foreman would help the Bulls advance to the NCAA Tournament Gainesville Regional.
As a Sophomore, Foreman played in 53 games with 50 starts primarily at catcher with a .285 average, 39 hits, a team-high eight home runs, six doubles, 29 RBI and a .504 slugging percentage. She notched four game-winning RBI, two game winning runs, nine multi-hit games and nine multi-RBI games. Defensively, Foreman boasted a .991 fielding percentage with a team-best 425 putouts, 19 assists and six runners caught stealing. She caught two perfect games, a no-hitter and set the South Florida single-game putouts record against FGCU with 21. She would help the Bulls advance to the NCAA Tournament Tallahassee Regional.
After missing the 2023 season due to injury, Foreman appeared in 24 games with 23 starts with nine hits and nine RBI in 2024. Behind the dish, she held a .982 fielding percentage with 99 putouts and 12 assists.
In her final season with the Bulls, Foreman tallied her best offensive season with 58 appearances and 57 starts with a .360 batting average, 59 hits, 13 homers, one triple, 14 doubles, 53 RBI, a .695 slugging percentage and a 1.127 OPS. Behind the plate, She held a .970 fielding percentage with 146 putouts and 15 assists. She would help the Bulls advance to the NCAA Tournament Tallahassee Regional.
