Chris Dixon enters his third season as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at North Florida in 2026-27. Dixon works with the Ospreys’ small forwards in player development and focuses on team offense, overseeing the program’s recruiting operations, opponent scouting, male practice players and serving as liaison to the strategic communications department.
In his first two seasons at UNF, Dixon helped develop Jasmynne Gibson and Dezuray McGill into ASUN All-Freshman Team selections. Gibson ranked among the league’s top five rebounders and earned ASUN Freshman of the Week honors in 2024-25. McGill earned two ASUN Freshman of the Week awards before being named to the ASUN All-Freshman Team in 2025-26.
Prior to UNF, Dixon spent four seasons as an assistant coach at Palm Beach Atlantic from 2020-24. He helped the Sailfish post a program-best 15-14 record in 2023-24 while coaching four Sunshine State Conference All-Conference selections, five CSC/CoSIDA Academic All-District honorees and nine weekly conference award recipients during his tenure.
In 2022-23, Dixon helped PBA reach double-digit wins for the first time since 2015-16 and for the first time since joining the Sunshine State Conference. During the COVID-shortened 2020-21 season, he helped the Sailfish reach the SSC Tournament for the first time in program history and advance to the championship game.
Dixon previously served as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Francis Marion, a volunteer player development coach at Georgia State and a student coach at his alma mater, Armstrong State.
Dixon graduated from Armstrong State University in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in health science with an emphasis in human performance management. He and his wife, Briana, have two children, Ariana and Chris Jr.
