Reid Labenz (C.S.C.S) joined the UNF Strength and Conditioning staff as a strength and conditioning assistant in August of 2021.
In this position, Labenz serves in direct oversight of the strength and conditioning efforts for the North Florida softball, women's soccer, swimming, women's tennis, women's golf and track mid-distance teams. He also aids with all other North Florida sponsored sports as needed, contributing in the implementation of the internship program and curriculum.Â
A native of Omaha, Neb., Labenz comes to North Florida after working as a strength and conditioning graduate assistant at Cameron University (Lawton, Okla.) from January of 2020-August 2021. With Cameron, Labenz took the primary lead on designing and coordinating strength and conditioning programs for the baseball, men's golf, men's tennis and women's tennis programs.Â
Labenz also held internship positions with the University of Nebraska - Omaha (UNO) and University of Nebraska - Lincoln between May of 2019 and January of 2020. Prior to that he was the Creighton Prep High School Football and Warren Academy Strength and Conditioning Coach from August of 2018 to August of 2021.Â
A certified strength and conditioning specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, Labenz possesses a bachelor of science in education - kinesiology from UNO and a master's of science in behavioral sciences - psychology from Cameron.
