STATESBORO, Ga. - North Florida Volleyball fell in its final match in the Eagle Invitational at Georgia Southern, 3-0, at Hanner Fieldhouse on Sunday.

Sophomore outside hitter Leah McDonald posted a team-high 13 kills on .212 hitting, in addition to seven digs. McDonald's 13 kills matched her career high, and she has now recorded 10 or more kills in five straight matches.

UNF 0, GSU 3 (22-25, 16-25, 22-25)

SET ONE:
Neither side led by more than two points until junior outside hitter Dakota Spurrier put down a kill to put North Florida ahead 10-8. McDonald posted a kill amid the frame, extending UNF's lead to 14-10. Georgia Southern went on an 8-3 run down the stretch to help earn the win.

SET TWO:
Sophomore middle blocker Katelyn Bowman notched an ace to cut North Florida's deficit to 11-9. Senior outside hitter Kaili Doctor tied the score, 14-14, with an ace of her own. McDonald led the way with three kills in the frame. Georgia Southern tallied 17 kills to North Florida's nine.

SET THREE:
Sophomore middle blocker Haleina Bowers put down an early kill, as Georgia Southern narrowly led, 6-5. McDonald recorded her 10th kill in the early stages of the frame. Trailing, 18-14, Bowers registered another kill to reduce UNF's deficit to just three points. Georgia Southern held a 23-22 advantage and earned the final two points of the set, bringing the match to its final margin.
