Men's Soccer Sweeps 2026 ASUN Preseason Awards, Seven Ospreys Named All-ASUN

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Atlantic Sun Conference announced on Tuesday that University of North Florida Men's Soccer was named the preseason favorites in the 2026 ASUN Preseason Coaches Poll and seven Ospreys earned Preseason All-ASUN Team selections, headlined by Preseason Player of the Year senior midfielder Anton Khelil, Preseason Defensive Player of the Year senior defender Paul Schacherer and unanimous Preseason Goalkeeper of the Year fifth year Luciano Natoli.
In addition to Khelil, Schacherer and Natoli, senior forward Geraldo Neto, junior forward Kaiss Mansouri, senior midfielder Tyler Prebenda, senior defender Paul Schacherer and junior defender Rafa Rios were named to the preseason team. The seven selections are the most in ASUN Conference history.
North Florida was picked to repeat as preseason favorites for the second-straight season with 79 points and eight first-place votes in the 2026 ASUN Preseason Coaches Poll.
North Florida opens its season at home when it hosts South Carolina on Thursday, Aug. 20 at Corporate Logistics Field at Hodges Stadium at 6 p.m. ET.
