
Men's Soccer Cruises Past Coastal Carolina, 4-1

CONWAY, S.C. – North Florida Men's Soccer notched three goals in the final 10 minutes to cruise past Coastal Carolina, 4-1, at CCU Soccer Complex on Friday night.Â
With the win, North Florida moves to 3-3 on the season.Â
North Florida threatened from the first touch with a pair of shots on goal in the initial 16 minutes of action. Redshirt senior forward Jaxon Reinhardt notched his third goal of the season on an equalizer in the 44th minute. A service from junior defender Paul Schacherer found senior midfielder Pedro Amancio right near the goal area, who found Reinhardt for the goal.Â
It marked the first assist this season for Schacherer and Amancio.
North Florida secured the lead on a Coastal Carolina own goal in the 82nd minute.Â
Graduate forward Ricardo Ferreira posted his first goal at North Florida off an assist from junior defender Ryuta Morioka with a strike that found the bottom left corner of the net in the 87th minute. Redshirt senior forward Luc Granitur beat the goalkeeper in the open field to make it 4-1 in the 90th minute.Â
Redshirt junior Luciano Natoli notched two saves in 90 minutes in goal. Overall, 19 Ospreys logged action in the match. In addition to Natoli, senior defender Alex Barnett, Schacherer, senior defender Jaylen Yearwood, sophomore midfielder Anton Khelil and sophomore midfielder Rafa Rios played the full time.Â
The Ospreys led their hosts 16-7 in shots and 8-3 in shots on goal.Â
North Florida remains in the Palmetto State to battle South Carolina on Tuesday, Sept. 16. First touch is set for 6 p.m. ET and action will be aired on ESPN+.
