JACKSONVILLE. Fla. – North Florida baseball dropped its final game of the series against Stetson, 16-3, at Harmon Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The Hatters opened the scoring with three runs in the first inning.
Drew Leinenbach cut the Ospreys' deficit to 3-1 in the second inning with a ground ball to second base that scored
Connor Moore who reached on a walk.
In the third frame, freshman
Seth Alford drove a lead-off double to left field and later scored on an RBI single by Moore, bringing the Ospreys within one run of the Hatters. However, a five-run sixth inning helped put Stetson ahead 10-3.
Moore tallied his second RBI of the game in the sixth with a base hit to right field, plating the Ospreys' final run of the game. Stetson scored six runs in the seventh inning, bringing the score to its final margin.
