FORT MYERS, Fla. – No. 19-ranked North Florida beach volleyball picked up a pair of dual wins against Florida Gulf Coast and No. 14 FIU on Saturday to close out action at the FGCU Inaugural Tournament at the FGCU Beach Volleyball Courts.
 
With now 81 victories, senior Hayden Wooldridge surpassed Callie Henderson for the program record in career wins.
 
Woolridge and sophomore Cameron Humphries paired up for an undefeated weekend at the four spot. Senior Mariana Feliciano Sanchez and junior Madison Espy were also unblemished at two in their tandem season debut.
 
North Florida handled host FGCU, 4-1, to open day two action. Humphries and Wooldridge picked up a 21-12, 21-14 win on four, while redshirt sophomore Sophia Notaro and sophomore Eden Anderson secured the five line, 10-21, 21-15, 15-12. FGCU earned a point at the one spot to cut the margin to 2-1, but senior pair Taylor Pierce and Andrea Da Silva responded back to take two, 17-21, 21-16, 15-8. Feliciano Sanchez and Espy added a 17-21, 21-16, 15-8 win in the two slot. 
 
North Florida swept No. 14 FIU with straight-set wins on three of five lines. Notaro and Anderson answered a first-set loss to clinch the lead, 19-21, 23-21, 15-7. Humphries and Wooldridge added another three-set win, 17-21, 21-15, 15-9, to extend the lead. The final three spots were won in straight sets when Pierce and Da Silva earned a 21-19, 21-12 win on three, Feliciano Sanchez and Espy took two, 21-15, 21-19, and junior tandem Presley Murray and Mackenzie Murphy posted a 22-20, 21-15 win at the top position. 
 
North Florida returns home to The Cooper Beach Volleyball Complex to face Wingate and Jacksonville on Wednesday, March 12.
