JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida softball showed fights against one of the nation's best squads, but fell by a pair of runs, 5-3, to No. 9 Florida State on Wednesday evening at UNF Softball Complex.
The Ospreys recorded an attendance record of 729 fans in their matchup against the Seminoles, which surpasses the previous mark of 519 fans in attendance.
Hadlee Reichert had a great showing for UNF with a multi-hit game, including an RBI knock in the second inning.
UNF capitalized on an FSU error in right field during the fourth inning which scored two runs with two outs to make it a 4-3 game.

Mackenzie Woods and
Kalyn McCarthy all had hits during the game with chances to score, but couldn't find home plate in the close loss in an electric home atmosphere.
