JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida softball completed back-to-back sweeps for a second consecutive season to open conference play after a 6-2 victory over West Georgia on Sunday afternoon at UNF Softball Complex.
The Ospreys found their spark on offense early with four runs scored in the first inning.
Hadlee Reichert and
Addyson Bruneman both earned RBI hits to plate two each, followed with an RBI single from
Allison Benning in the second inning.
Benning made her third appearance of the weekend during her second start spinning three innings with only two runs allowed. She made up for it in the fourth frame of the game with a solo shot for her 13th homer of the season to straightaway center.
