JACKSONVILLE. Fla. - North Florida men's tennis had to comeback back from down the doubles point once again to defeat Queens (N.C.), 5-2, for a victory in its ASUN opener on Friday afternoon at UNF Tennis Complex.
The Ospreys were fighting against Queens through doubles play, but couldn't find success in its first scenes of action.
Jean Deloziere and
Chase Healey helped UNF's cause with straight-set winners on courts four and five to go up by one.
Bruno Vietri took home a close win as well on the second court while the Ospreys and Royals were tied a 2-2. With only two courts remaining with UNF needing one more point to clinch,
Lorenzo Messina earned the winning point to take the conference opener on the Ospreys' home court.
