MIAMI, Fla. - North Florida women's tennis dominated in doubles to go along with a stellar singles showing to take a 5-2 victory on neutral grounds back home against North Texas on Saturday afternoon.
The Ospreys had wins on all three doubles courts to take the first point of the match against UNT. Two of the three courts were won by a margin of five or more, including a 6-0 first-court sweep from
Nicole Alfaro Solis and
Isabel Oliveira.
UNF had two early wins on courts one and four, highlighted by
Anslee Long's sweep and a three-set comeback win from
Laurie Barendse.
Jasmin Makela clinched the match-winning point in a 7-6 tiebreaker win in the second set, while freshman
Gabby Goyins added the cherry on top with a three-set winner.
