Swimming Continues to Impress on Day Three of Atlantic Sun Championships

Ospreys Set Five More Top-Ten Program Times on Penultimate Day

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - North Florida women's swimming set five more top-ten program times and set plenty of personal bests on day three of the 2025 Atlantic Sun Swimming & Diving Championships at the University of Tennessee on Friday. 

Victoria Torres set two of the Ospreys five top-ten program times on the day, swimming the sixth and ninth fastest 100-yard breaststroke times in program history. Kayla Daley, Ashley Kirby and Katie Carlos accounted for the other three top-ten program times in yet another successful day for North Florida. 

To conclude the day, the group of Paige Munna, Amelia Hildebrand, Hannah Gnatt and Ashley Kephart recorded the second fastest 800-yard freestyle relay in program history, securing a fifth place finish with a time of 7:31.89. 

CLIPBOARD NOTES
  • Kirby swam the fourth fastest 100-yard breaststroke in program history during the evening finals with a time of 1:03.29
  • Carlos tallied the seventh fastest 100-yard backstroke time in program history in the finals, touching the wall in 56.36
  • Daley earned her first top-ten program time in the 200-yard butterfly, securing the eighth fastest time of 2:04.26 during the morning prelims
  • Hildebrand set a personal best in the 100-yard breaststroke finals with time of 1:04.56, finishing 13th
  • Senior Allie Larrimore recorded a personal best in the 200-yard butterfly preliminaries, finishing in 2:06.57 and qualifying for the finals

"Day three of the meet and we kept swimming fast. We had many personal bests and top-ten times. We had two swimmers compete in the A Finals and four in the B Finals.  We capped off the night with the second fastest 800 freestyle relay time in program history. Day four is always a tough day, but we are physically and mentally prepared to finish strong." --- head coach Ian Coffey 

UP NEXT 
The Ospreys conclude the 2025 Atlantic Sun Swimming & Diving Championships on Saturday with the preliminaries kicking off at 10 a.m. and the finals getting underway at 6 p.m.

Events on the final day include 1,650-yard freestyle, 100-yard freestyle, 200-yard backstroke, 200-yard breaststroke and the 400-yard freestyle relay.
