JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida women's basketball competed in its first home game of Atlantic Sun Conference play, but fell against Florida Gulf Coast, 89-54, on Thursday evening.
The Ospreys had three players reach double figures scoring led by junior guard
Sarah Taub going a perfect 4-for-4 from the field.
Jamisyn Stinson and
Selma Eklund each scored 10 points off the bench with efficient shooting numbers as well.

First Half: Jasmynne Gibson got the action started for UNF with a three from the top of the key...a
Jazmine Spencer and-one bucket kept a low margin against the Eagles to start the opening period...free throws and a layup, courtesy of Eklund, brought the Ospreys within two points with three minutes left in the first...after a short scoring drought, Stinson nailed her first points from range to get UNF back on track...another three was made, this time from Carreno to take the team into the break.
Second Half: Out of the half, Taub made back-to-back layups, followed with scores from Ekund and
Helena Rafnsdottir...Stinson made her second trey of the game with another pair of Osprey layups to get the 36 total team points through three quarters...a drive down the lane from Stinson added more points to her total to start the fourth period...
Jazmine Spencer was smooth with her first trey of the game, along with an easy Eklund score right after...a trio of layups in the winding minutes put an end to the team's defeat against FGCU.
