JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida women's basketball showed fight by cutting its deficit after the halftime break, but ultimately fell to Stetson, 80-63, on Saturday afternoon at UNF Arena.

Kaila Rougier each led all Ospreys with 13 points. Freshman guard
Jamisyn Stinson added 11 points, which was her third-straight game with 10 or more points propelled by a trio of second-quarter threes.

First Half: North Florida trailed 22-8 at the end of the first quarter...freshman guard
Jamisyn Stinson connected on a trio of threes in the second quarter to propel North Florida to outscore Stetson 25-19 in the frame...faced with its largest deficit of the first half at 30-12, the Ospreys went on a 21-11 run over the next 7:04 minutes of action to cut the halftime deficit to 41-33...UNF converted on 5-for-7 from three after an 0-for-12 start from behind the arc at the end of first quarter.
Second Half: Stetson extended its lead back to double digits at 57-47 with 2:33 minutes left in the third quarter...UNF responded over the final action of the frame in what culminated in an evenly matched third quarter to enter the fourth at 59-50...Rougier and Taub both hit layups entering the fourth period to cut the margin to 13 points...free throws down the stretch of the final five minutes couldn't get the Ospreys back in contention in the 80-63 loss at home.
