Cross Country Receives USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Distinctions

NEW ORLEANS - North Florida men's and women's cross country teams have received 2025 All-Academic recognition from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Friday afternoon.

In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0. The women's team accumulated a 3.67 average and the men posted a 3.36 average.

North Florida Athletics' department-wide 3.53 average in Fall 2024 stood only 0.04 points off from the department's record set during in Spring 2020. It also marked the 27th-straight semester that the department has recorded better than a 3.0 or better average.

Both the men's and the women's team secured runner up finishes at the 2024 ASUN Championship and earned a combined nine ASUN All-Conference selections last season. The second-place finish at the conference meet marked the highest for the women since 2017. The men concluded their run with a sixth-place finish in the 2024 NCAA South Regional and had junior Seth Martinez collect All-South Region honors.
