UNF look to maintain its momentum after it handed Troy, 4-3, to open its season and earn the initial win under head coach
John Collins. The pair of
Bruno Vietri and
Gianluca Filoramo took their court to earn the advantage before the doubles point was won by
Joao Portugal and
Andreas Scott.
Scott, in addition to
Youssef Labbene and
Chase Healey secured their courts in singles action to clinch the win in the season opener. Scott's performance landed him the first ASUN Player of the Week honor of his career.
Gardner-Webb was tabbed the 2025 Big South's favorites during the preseason coach's voting.
