Men's Tennis Preview: vs Troy

1/10/2025 12:00:00 PM

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida men's tennis opens the 2025 spring season with its debut home match under first-year head coach John Collins when it hosts Troy on Saturday, Jan. 11, at the UNF Tennis Complex.

North Florida looks to defend its 2024 Atlantic Sun Conference Regular Season and Tournament titles after the Ospreys closed out the spring regular season on a twelve-match winning streak and an undefeated 10-0 slate against conference opponents, all which culminated in the third ASUN Tournament Championship in program history.

The Ospreys return five letterwinners from last season's spring roster in Spencer Dorosheff, Chase Healey, Breno Marques, Andreas Scott and Bruno Vietri, while the trio of newcomers in Jean Deloziere, Lorenzo Messina and Benjamin Scott aim to build on their impressive fall debuts.

Scott boasted an impressive 2024 spring, in which he secured ASUN All-Tournament and Tournament MVP honors. Scott and fellow returnee, Marques, also concluded the slate undefeated in conference matches.

This weekend marks the Ospreys' return to the court after the program competed in four events throughout the fall. It will also be the first of 12 home matches held at UNF Tennis Complex this spring.

Following play on Saturday, North Florida will remain home for its first of six matches with in-state opponents when it battles Florida Atlantic on Saturday, Jan. 18, at 1 p.m.
