BOCA RATON, Fla. - North Florida men's soccer (1-4-2) came up short in a 2-0 loss against Florida Atlantic (2-2-1) on Friday evening.
A red card to Joaquin Acuna had the Ospreys down to 10 players for the remainder of the match. FAU scored to go up a goal in the 33rd minute, followed by another in the 84th minute to put away the match.

The Ospreys return home for its match against former conference opponent, USC Upstate, on Tuesday, Sept. 17, with kickoff set for 7 p.m., at Hodges Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED

- FAU saw in influx of shots on goal shortly afterwards, but Luciano Natoli held strong with three saves in an eight-minute span.
- The Owls broke through first in the 34th minute to take the early lead against the Ospreys.
- After FAU went up a goal, Jaylen Yearwood took lone shot on goal in the first half for UNF, but it was saved at the top center of the net.
- Anton Khelil came out firing with the first shot out of the break, but it was denied by the FAU keeper.
