JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida men's (1-1-1) soccer found the back of the net often, downing Winthrop (0-3-0), 3-1, in the home opener thanks to a brace from Jaxon Reinhardt Thursday, Aug. 29. Head coach Jamie Davies took home his first-career win at the helm of the Navy and Gray with the victory.

Inside the Match

• First Half: Neither team had significant opportunities early on in the first half … the Ospreys would be the first to capitalize after a corner kick from Luc Granitur found the chest of Jaxon Reinhardt who scooted the ball inside the near post … the Eagles got the equalizer in the 45th minute when a free kick collided with Winthrop's Caleb Swenson.
• Second Half: Reinhardt played a sharp ball into the box that caromed off a Winthrop defender and into the back of the net only minutes into the second session, returning the lead to UNF … North Florida struck again on the cross, and once again Reinhardt was on the scoring end of it as Granitur and Ethan Ash teamed up on the assists and Reinhardt completed the brace for a 3-1 lead in the 62nd minute … North Florida controlled the pace the rest of the way.
