FLORENCE, Ala. - North Florida baseball (21-26, 11-14 ASUN) had six innings of productive work from
Tony Roca in a D-I program record 43rd start of his career, but late RBI hits from North Alabama (17-32, 9-17 ASUN) turned costly in a 4-2 loss on Saturday evening.
The Ospreys were knotted up in a scoreless battle through five innings with Roca totaling nine strikeouts in his appearance. UNA put runs on the board in each of the last three innings to break out to a four-run lead heading into the ninth.
Cade Bush and
Drew Leinenbach attempted to fuel a comeback with RBIs of their own, but couldn't pull it out against the Lions.
